Hy Everybody, I'm new to this
excellent JAVA Library and have some doubts with the BaseFont class. As far as I
understand, it works like the java.awt.FontMetrics, and when I use the
getWidths() method, I get the advance widths of the first 256 characters in
the Font chosen.
The problem is that the widths of
the BaseFont are much more high than the ones I get with the
FontMetrics class.
Besides, I don't know if the size I
pass to the constructor of a Font is the same size used by java.awt.Font...
which are the differences?
Do I have in the BaseFont, font
types like Arial or Dialog?
What is the EMBEDDED/NOT EMBEDDED
for, in the constructor of the BaseFont?
