That's why I wrote the FontFactory in the first place. I know other people have been working on this, but I don't remember getting any feedback (no news = good news?). The posting about extending the SAXiTextHandler can be ignored. I don't think it will be necessary anymore. Another thing to watch out for, is the encoding in your XML declaration. But you probably know this.
