I have need to include a font in a PDF but cannot get things to work out.
I've read Chapter 9 of the tutorial at least 10 times and searched the
entire archives but cannot find the answers I need.

I have 3 files that comprise a font that were given to me by client. They
are a Mac font suitcase, a .afm, and a Postscript Type 1 font. I have tried
various things to get iText to recognize the font, but get a variety of
errors. What I thought was the most obvious solution was to use the .afm as
described at the bottom of chapter 9 of the tutorial. Unfortunately when I
pass fontX.afm to BaseFont.createFont(), I get a file not found error for
fontX.pfb. I don't have a .pfb. I've seen mention of how to create a .pfb
if you have a .pfa, but I don't have that either. Is this the correct route
to go? Or, should I be using one of the other components of the font that
the client gave to me, and if so, how?

TIA,
