[iText-questions] Layers?

iText is great. I've like how it allows me to generate a report in PDF 
format from a Java application. Very convenient. However, I'm now 
running into a small dilemma. Management wants more precise control 
over placement if items on the page, rather than just depending on the 
luck of text flow or table flow.

Is there currently or planned support for this type of precise 
placement of items? This would be comparable to layers in HTML (using 
the <div> tag). If not, I have been experimenting with writing my own 
Java class that will accomplish this using a clipping path.
