iText doesn't support multi-master fonts. The bold simulation is done by
thickening the strokes of the glyph and the italic by slanting the text. An
example:
BaseFont ming = BaseFont.createFont("mingliu.ttc,0", BaseFont.IDENTITY_H,
true);
Font font = new Font(ming, 10, Font.BOLD);
