To answer your question:
iText can give you a Graphics2D object.
A lot of functionality you use on this Graphics2D object
can be used to generate PDF.
What you need is the inverse: you have the PDF and
you want to translate the PDF to Graphics2D functionality.
That we do not have in iText.
