Thanks for your reply. Does this apply even if I flatten the form fields after setting the data value?

Thanks again,

Doron

That's a useless effort. Each Acrobat version has it's own layout rules. What aligns well in 5 doesn't in 6 and so on.

Subject: [iText-questions] AcroField data values chopped off

Hello,

I'm working on an application where existing Pdf form fields
will be pre-populated, using iText. The original Pdf file
has been created with Adobe Acrobat. I'm using PdfStamper
and AcroFields.setField in order to populate the form field
     values.

When the populated pdf file is re-opened in Acrobat,
the text field data values are slightly chopped off at the
bottom. If a data value is subsequently edited in Acrobat,
then it is realigned vertically and no longer appears
chopped off - this is also how the data value would have
appeared had the form been filled out in Acrobat to begin with.

Is it possible to modify the form field in iText
(bounding box?) so that the data value does not appear
chopped off when re-opened in Acrobat?

Thanks,

Doron
