I realize that the control language would be specific to the printer/rip that was being used, but thought there might be a way to embed such info in a PDF, where the final rip/printer would detect it.
There are ways to embed Postscript into a PDF, but it isn't guaranteed to be used at print time and it has limitations.
One user suggests that some of this might be doable using embedded javascript in PDF's.
No, that won't help you.
