We are using some version of iText, probably several years old, running under a Weblogic 6.1 J2EE server (jdk 1.3) to produce pdfs interactively with data stored in an oracle data base.
Intermittently, we get messages such as this from users: > >when > >i click on "generate petition" i ge the error message "the file cannot be > >opened because there are no pages".
This seems to be some combination of OS/version, browser/version, PDF reader (usually Adobe)/version.
Has anybody run into something like this? If so, do you know what software combos cause it? Any workarounds?
Also, should I try downloading and installing the latest version of iText? I saw somewhere on the site that there is a release dated 2004.
Any advice would be appreciated.
