Good point - I'll concede :). It would be nice to not have to support these two modes in ColumnText some day, though. I did not understand it originally and there have been several questions posted to the list (by me and others) asking you what you meant by "composite mode". What was the problem with only supporting composite mode? Why can't the composite mode support non-rectangular columns?
