Thanks for your information! Unfortunately, PDFTextStream is not OpenSource, but seems to be quite interesting though. Multivalent is supposed to be able to solve my problem (https://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1173433&forum_id=182642) and even PDFBox is supposed to do it (https://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1173435&forum_id=267205). Haven't tried it, yet.
