I am using the iText sample to encrypt a pdf document with permission, user and owner passwords, 128 bit one, which is previously signed too. After signing the signature becomes corrupt when verified using Adobe. Why ?
Think about it...
A signature is used to verify that the data of the file has NOT been changed...
Encrypting data CHANGES IT...
Therefore, the signature no longer verifies.
IF you want BOTH encryption and DigSig - you encrypt first and then sign.
