You can use the file arabic_text_in_pdf.pdf attached to the posting at the 
above URL for testing if you are able to type Arabic characters. In v6 ME and 
v7, only the reversed column matches a search. In v6, only the normal column 
matches. Rendering behavior is identical across all versions. See also the file 
arabic_text_in_pdf.Report.pdf, which was written before v7 was released.
