I'm trying to produce a PDF that will display a barcode in the same
position on every page. I can't get it to work by setting the
absolute position of the table as I get an error message telling me
that "the table width must be greater than zero".
This is a table error message; it has nothing to do with barcodes. What
do you need the table for?

I would get the barcode as an Image instance and use the Image methods
to set the absolute position.
