Never Mind…I figured out the
problem. Thanks Bruno and Co for being “nice” to this newbie J Regards, Rob From:

On Behalf Of Rob Dickey Hi All / Anyone. I believe that Bruno, et al have much
tougher questions to answer to I was hoping someone could just point me in the
right direction. I believe what I am attempting to do is very simple, but
something is amiss… I need to create a template / boilerplate
document that has about 20 fields on it. I used MS Word to create this template
with form fields then converted it into PDF, trying both designer 7 and
Adobe’s online PDF converter. I found out from Bruno that iText does not
support PDF’s created with designer 7 so I was hoping that the online
converter would work, but when I open the converted template with Acrobat 7 it
does not show any fields. So, simply asked, am I creating the
template right? Is there another tool to do this, or do I have to create the
template via the iText API (which is what I am going to do as a last
resort). The reason for using the template is that it will allow my
client some flexibility in changing the static content and arrangement of the
form without requiring code updates. TIA for any info Regards, Rob |
