Do you plan to implement this feature ?
I believe that Paulo has commented a number of times that
it's not a high priority item.
If it's important enough, you might consider hiring a PDF
consulting company (such as mine) to implement this for you as a
custom project. If you use ours, we will also (if you wish)
contribute the code back to the main iText project for others to
benefit from (as we have with other things in the past).
