At the bottom you can read that JasperReports pulled in $8 million last summer from investors.
Correction: it's about JasperSoft, the company behind JasperReports. You see: it sometimes confuses even me from time to time ;-) One more thing about creating a company behind an OS product. Recently I entered a Belgian competition called BizIdee: http://www.bizidee.be/ Basically you can 'win your own company'. Just for fun I participated to the two first stages of the competition with a proposal for 'iText Document Services', a series of services that could be offered by a company. Based on the reports made by the jury (that were negative), I fear that under the pretext of looking for 'innovative products' they are just looking for 'traditional/old economy' companies, so I won't be participating to the third stage. I like the OS model and I believe in it, but I fear it's getting a hype among investors in the US. Europe has a much more prudent approach. I think that's a good thing. br, Bruno ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media.
