I am looking for generating a PDF document using iText, but not by
programming it.
It is a little like if a user was writing a document into the text field of
a GUI application, using markups (like in Tex and HTML). Behind, I'm
parsing the annotated text to transform it into phrases, chunks, lists and
so on. I don't want to generate on the fly the Java source implementing the
corresponding document with the iText API.
I saw a not yet documented chapter about XML in the documentation. Is this
XML something able to describe a document using the iText model? Something
like:
<phrase>
blablabla
<chunk font-name="Tahoma" font-size="8">blablabla again</chunk>
</phrase>
from which I could instantiate a iText document?
