Many thanks for your response. I was able to make it work using the PdfStamper tutorial. If anyone is interested I can post the code. BTW, the people at sanface.com want an arm and a leg to do this. Thanks to all the developers at lowagie.com for their hardwork and dedication.

If you want a GUI for iText, have a look at some of the JPedal tutorials.

It's all wrong. You haven't been reading the tutorial. (Why not???)

Use PdfStamper instead of PdfCopy.
PdfCopy can't be used to add new data.

This use of setLiteral will produce corrupt PDF!!!
(Fortunately it was commented out.)
