The problem is that YOU are adding the underscores DELIBERATELY
somewhere inside your code. Nobody on the list is clairvoyant, so nobody
knows WHY and HOW you are adding these underscores.
My best guess is that you have copied somebody else's code without
knowing what it does.
Anyway, the JAVA sample I have sent you earlier SOLVES the problem.

PS: this is the PDF syntax inside your document that is responsible for
the underscores: the m is a moveTo, the l a lineTo.
