Those function names will only work on PDFs from that one source. AF* isn't a
standard JS library available to all PDFs.
Allow me to clarify a bit. Bruno said:

IN GENERAL this is true. If all your PDFs are from the same source, you'll
probably be able to determine format based on string searches in the format
script (as Peter has done below).
PS: The value of an AA (action) dictionary's keys ('F' -> Format, there are
quite a few other events) can be either strings (PdfString) or streams (which
take a bit more work to extract).
