I don't have any experience with Struts on Websphere,
but when I see a 'response already committed' error,
I immediately think about the way JSP pages work:
they invoke response.getOutputStream behind the scene
and they sometimes start writing bytes to this outputstream
without you being aware of it.
Then when you perform response.getOutputStream(),
the server throws an error, because you can't open
this outputstream twice. I have done two projects in Struts
and I didn't like the technology. Certainly when you are
serving binary files, writing Servlets is always a better idea.
