Hello Bruno (or whomever monitors this list):

I work for a small, private software company named Viador. We are still
very active in the BI market. In 2004, our development team used iText
version 1.02(b) for a small, custom development project we call ReportBook.

The function delivered by ReportBook is to take a set of PDF reports
(generated by a separate PDF engine), and generate a new master PDF report
object. We use iText to generate this master PDF report object. One of the
minor issues that has emerged is that the page numbering displayed is for
each of the original reports, but there is no page numbering for the
resulting new ReportBook itself. We would like to add a new, master page
numbering to this ReportBook object. I could go into detail, but I am sure
you get the concept.

The immediate challenge we are facing is that we have lost the developer who
did this work, along with the source code for the iText version 1.02(b).
Thus, I am writing to ask for the source code for the 1.02(b) version of
iText, so we can evaluate implementing it, or adding this feature as an
extension.

I have looked at the iText web site, and do not see the source code for this
version, so this is why I am writing an email. If you recommend using a more
current version, please advise me of this, and we will proceed accordingly.

Your comments are welcome.

thx, Tom Abbott
