You are talking about a requirement. I assume this requirement is documented. You probably have some prototype PDF document that demonstrates the final result you want to achieve (otherwise you may be trying to do something that is impossible). Show us a simple PDF (not too much bytes please) created with Acrobat that demonstrates exactly what you are trying to do with iText.
