I'm not sure which advise you followed.
Have you imported pages, wrapped them in an image,
scaled the images, and added them to a new PDF document?

I didn't see it. Sometimes if attachments are too big,
I delete the mail without looking at it.
It's standard policy for me: I prefer a link to a file
that is publicly available.

I'm sorry, but:
1) I don't understand the problem
2) I don't have the time to understand the problem
3) I don't have the time to solve the problem
This is the point where I suggest you should probably hire somebody to 
help you. I'm sure it can be done in less than a day. Maybe in a couple 
of hours, but you'll have to understand that I am not here to do this 
kind of work. iText is free software, it doesn't come with free consultancy.
