Your colleague is wrong. You can add all the text and images you want to an existing PDF document, but what you ask is impossible: iText doesn't know where what you call 'variable text' (which is a very confusing way to describe the text that is part of the FIXED LAYOUT of an existing PDF) starts or ends. br, Bruno ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
