If all goes well, the next version of iText will be released tomorrow.
I have already tested all the tutorial examples (manually opened all
the PDFs one by one, and checked if they looked OK).
Currently I am checking all the book examples. I found some minor
differences that I still need to change: all the examples that are
printed in the book should still work and look exactly like the book
says they should look.
Because this is a manual process, it takes some time :(
You should see this new version (2.0.0) as a kind of release candidate
for iText 2. In the weeks that come, I'll provide examples explaining
what's new, and what's different, and we might have an iText 2.0.1,
2.0.2, 2.0.3,... in a very short time span. So the release that will
probably be ready tomorrow will be something for the early adopters.
Others can wait till we give a sign that iText 2 is stable.
