The List class will solve my problem... Thanks. I had not thought of that
because I viewed the List class as generating lists and not to be used for
headings.
I was hoping that the Chapter/Section classes would offer the same indent
capability as List. That is, specifying the indentation from the list symbol
(or chapter/section number) to the text.
i.e. 1.1.1{indent}text // just like lists...
Anyway I know the capabilities/limitations now and I can work with that. I
will look into contributing a patch for Chapter/Section that will add the
additional capability...
