Hello,

I managed to generate signed PDF's with filled signature fields, generated
from Belgian ID card.
But I would like to practice another way to sign a PDF.

Following Adobe documentation, one should be able to sign a PDF with Acrobat
Reader simply by clicking in an empty signature field.
So I've generated with iText a PDF containing an empty signature field, but
I can't put any signature in it (clicking it has no effect, except visual
feedback).

In "Document properties/Security" tab, I see that no security was defined.
But in "Documents Restrictions Summary" section in the bottom of the dialog,
I see that "Signing" is not allowed, which is probably why I can't sign it.
Adding encryption and PDFWriter.AllowFillIn permission didn't help.

Do someone know if it is possible to create with iText PDF documents that
users could sign by clicking on signature field ?
Or is it a fonctionnality restricted to PDF's created with Adobe Acrobat ?

Regards,
Denis
