Also, last night I was thinking about an alternate method to tackle the issue. You know how I said that if I copied the fields first (via PdfCopyFields), everything worked fine if I clicked the radio button that was already selected cosmetically but something internal was messed up. Basically I believe the method is indirectly converting the Designer form to an AcroForm (probably also stripping out some Designer specific attributes and widgets like date selector). I wonder if it would be easier to update the PdfCopyField process to correctly deal with the Radio Button conversion? Just a thought. I'm assuming the Designer XFA solution would be more efficient but perhaps the other solution using the Copy process would allow individuals to bring the designer forms into a realm of AcroForms where iText is strong.
