Nothing is "hack proof".
Use a sufficient password for the purpose and make sure you password protect at
the Owner's password as well.
AFAIK, PDFs are still vulnerable to standard dictionary and brute-force attack,
but again...pick a long, complex password with letters, symbols and numbers and
you should be OK; it then can't be cracked "easily". But someone with enough
time or CPU can brute-force it...nothing's "hack proof".

Subject: [iText-questions] Reqt. of a hack proof PDF
Dear All,
Would like to know whether the encrypted & password protected PDF files are
hack proof. Once encrypted will anybody be able to crack the password easily?
