I've had the same frustrating conversation with bisoa privately a few months ago. After many, many mails I gave up. I gathered that bisoa likes the MS approach: first you break something (convert vector data into a lossy image format), then you expect the software to fix is again (using anti-aliasing to sharpen the edges). That's typically what you don't want to do when in a professional printing environment: you don't want the image to be tampered with.
