That was the main reason for the changes I made.
I talked with a vendor of a commercial PDF solution lately.
His product wasn't as feature rich as iText, but he had
a fancy 'feature' list.

As Paulo says: there's very little to be gained from
the change I made. I've benchmarked it with some test
samples and both the win in speed or size was ignorable.

However: I like the change because we can finally get
rid of Document.compress in one of the future iText versions
(maybe 3.0).
