Barcodes in forms are XFA specific. They weren't supported in AcroForms. As you know, there is some support for XFA in iText; but you shouldn't expect miracles. > when I use command line tool pdftk (written in iText) PdfTk is an old version of iText compiled with GCJ. This was done by a third party. There's no business relationship between that third party and the iText company. > to fill in all PDF form fields including barcode field, the barcode just > turns into the text I set to, but not the barcode, I try all barcodes but > get the same result. Are you flattening the form? If you are, all XFA is removed and all the specific XFA barcode stuff is probably lost. > Is there a way to fill in the barcode or someone else has the same issue? When I need to fill in a barcode, I usually use an AcroForm button as a placeholder and I replace that button with a barcode generated using iText. > We are filling the PDF form in php I fear you'll have to look for another solution. -- This answer is provided by 1T3XT BVBA ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ iText-questions mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/itext-questions Do you like iText?
