Hello,

I don´t see any problem in using iText to achieve your goals, and I believe you
have two main options:

1 - use Acrobat or Adobe Designer to design the template (without coding), but
you will have to buy an Acrobat licence;
2 - code with iText to create the template;

In both option, you can merge the template with data using iTEXT.

If your template has a dynamic layout (for instance, if the number of
rows/columns is not fixed), designing the template with Adobe Designer would be
my option. But coding with iText is a great alternative solution, because you
can control all the design process by code. If the template has a static
layout, I would choose to create an Acroform with Adobe or a static form with
Adobe Designer (or coding with iText, off course).

Please note that I´m assuming (and sometimes assuming is not very good :) )
that you want to create a PDF layout from scrath. In other words I´m assuming
you are not trying to convert something into a PDF. Because if this is your
goal, you are at the wrong forum.

Finally, and with this comment I´m sure I will help you: If I was you I would
use the subject of my emails to describe my problem instead of sharing some
panic words :) While your panic words will not help you because that panic will
not pass to others and so they will not help you more or less because that, a
good subject can make you get more specific help.
