Hello, I have been trying to do some research on my own for the past 2 weeks,
but not much luck... I found some links here but the links were either dead
or didn't make much sense to me (still new to iText/Java).

I have created PDF files on the mainframe. Now I need to print them directly
to network printers dynamically controlled by the application without
opening the PDF (silent printing).

If I can't print the PDF to printers directly (looks like it unless it's
some sort of "Level 3 printers"), will I able to convert the PDF to a
PostScript file first and then use a Java program to print it? And I want to
try to do it myself before we look at commercial software.

I also read a little about ghostscript and xpdf. Does anybody know if those
routes would work on the mainframe?

I would really appreciate your suggesions. Thanks for your time.
