Yes, he's getting minor surgery tomorrow (to remove the port-a-kath). It's a brutal disease and it caused a lot of physical damage, but it also allowed me to really get to know my son, better than I would have known him if all of this had never happened. And that's indeed something I treasure every day. Merry Christmas to all!
