At least the latter (EOL missing after obj) is a known problem, fixed in
itext but not migrated to itextsharp.
I already stated it on various occasions: itextsharp is currently 2?
versions behind itext and missing some PDF/A love. Until that happens I
went for ikvm + itext (huge footprint on disk, but works flawless for my
usecase).

Ben
