For all my adobe bashing, I'm happy to see an interest in failure analysis :) I'm not going to blame Reader for failure to anticipate a confusing, pathological, or invalid document, but on the 7 version infinite loops and hangs were common, especially when downloading over the net and it became infuriating waiting for megabytes of junk to download a few K of information. So far 9 has seemed a lot better. > > Thanks, > > > Leonard > > > > From: Stephen Friedrich > > Sent: Tuesday, April 14, 2009 12:12 PM > > To: [email protected] > > Subject: [iText-questions] iText generated PDF hangs Adobe Reader 9.1 > > > > > > > > > > > > I am generating a PDF using PdfGraphics2D. > > > > While testing the generated PDF in Adobe Reader (9.1.0) I > noticed that the Reader displays the document just fine, but freezes on the > first mouse click to the document (I was trying to select text): Full CPU > utilization, no redrawing. > > > > Interestingly Foxit Reader can handle the document fine. _________________________________________________________________ Express your personality in color!
