This was to be expected. You are using PdfImportedPage. PdfImportedPage acts like a photocopier: all interactive are lost in the process. Why? A page consists of: (1) a content stream (2) annotations (1) is a stream of PDF syntax as described in the Adobe Imaging model: using operators such as: l, m, BT, ET,... (2) are described using the Carousel Object System. for instance: a link is a PDF dictionary in the PDF array with key value /ANNOTS.
