The examples in the PDF Reference/ISO 32000 are NOT DESIGNED to be typed in and used - they are just there for reference purposes.
As you should have learned in that document, PDF is a BINARY FORMAT - so that just typing things into a text editor will NOT work. I copied H.3Simple Text String Example (Hello world) from PDF ISO reference to text editor and added some header text like this "%PDF-1.6 %âãÏÓ" and saved as a PDF file. When I opened the file using PDF reader, I could not open the file. I am not sure it is a correct way to create a pdf file. The H.3 Simple Text String Example I am referreing as follows. I am just pasting first few lines of the example. %PDF-1.4 1 0 obj << /Type /Catalog /Outlines 2 0 R /Pages 3 0 R >> endobj -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/creating-pdf-file-issue.-tp25803281p25803281.html Sent from the iText - General mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us!
