Hi,
As per our requirement, we need to secure the PDF generated through our
application.
We are using JasperReports to generate PDF and iText to sign and password
protect it.
The issue arises when we are trying to sign a password protected PDF.
During signing, iText asks for the owner password, which means that the
passwords were applied on PDF, but after signing, the passwords are
getting removed from the PDF.
I request you to throw some light on why is this happening, whether is
this an intrinsic property of PDFs that a signature or passwords cannot
coexist or is this a limitation of iText.
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Vishal Sinha
