It's an intro, for more about Images, you need chapter 10.

If you have the image from JFreeChart, why did you choose to make it all 
fuzzy by converting it to a JPEG image? Why don't you add the chart as a 
vector image (as described in the JFreeChart documentation)?

For the sake of the people who have to use your PDF, I'm not going to 
look at your code. You should throw it away, it's a bad idea to serve 
your customers charts in JPEG format.
