Hello,

The following code illustrates the problem. As it uses the standard 
Times-Font, I assume the font metrics are ok.
So it must be the leading? But I have to define a leading that is suitable 
for the respective font-size, otherwise the text is too dense.

Still, I think the leading should not be used to position the first line 
within a new column (or there should be an option to disable that 
behaviour).
Is there a way around this? I have to process various kinds of content, so 
I cannot predict the text-flow. My first impulse was to simply position 
the right
column a bit higher than the left, but that's ugly when the column 
contains images.
