PDF 1.4 has been out for over a decade. If you are talking to someone whose software and equipment is SO OLD that they can't handle PDF 1.4 - you DO NOT want to be working with them. If I set it to 1.3, it still comes out with whatever the version of the document is that I have opened in the PdfStamper (which makes sense to me, since I am trying to lower the version... but I would like to understand what is going on) Also, is it possible to get a short explanation of what setPdfVersion does? Does it change anything other than the version string, or is it just that: the version string in the document?
