If all you are doing is signing a second time - and not doing ANY OTHER operation - then the first signature will STILL BE VALID since you didn't touch the original page content.

Using the library, if I reopen the file and sign another signature field through itext on the same pdf it invalidates the previous field (as it should since data has changed on the pdf since the first signature occurred). My question is regarding the first digital signature field after the second field is signed. In the validity summary it says that "this signature is invalid because there are errors in the formatting or information contained in this signature". Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but the signature should still contain the same certificate information as prior to the second field being signed. Shouldn't the validity summary state that "the revision of the document that was covered by this signature has not been altered; however, there have been subsequent changes to the document." Is this behavior to be expected?
