Subject: [iText-questions] Another spec question regarding a PKCS1 detail

Hi experts,

Julien came up with an intersting problem regarding PKCS1 signatures.

He build the signatures using iText and offered all required cerrtificates to
the corresponding method. These certificates are included into the cert entry,
the signing certificate at first. Surprisingly the Acrobat reader complains
about missing certificate path and shows just the signing certificate.
A close look into the cert's content shows that all three certificates are just
padded together, without any container structure. The spec says 'An array of
byte strings that shall represent the X.509 certificate chain [...]' is
expected. What does this mean in this special context ? Something like an ASN.1
wrapper element ? An 'array' in terms of PDF ?

Any clue ?

Thanks in advance,

Andreas
