I'm generating . pdfs which are not supposed to show colors.  I have to 
incorporate various .pdf and .tif files which are supplied to me.

The people who supply then know they aren't supposed to include any color, but 
they sometimes do by mistake.

Is there a simple way to detect whether such a file has colors other than black 
and white?
