That would be OK with me as I have a copy of the book, but I don't quite understand how to join the forum. How do I prove I have the book?
Thank you very much. Up until recently, we were able to avoid SPAM by requiring people to register. An admin then looked at every mail sent to the list by people who weren't subscribed. This way, we were able to avoid plenty of SPAM. Unfortunately, SPAMmers are now starting to register too. If this turns out to be problematic, we may choose to close down the list in favor of the forum: http://support.itextpdf.com/ The forum is visited by plenty of SPAMmers, but SPAMmers don't succeed to activate their account, because they don't own a copy of the book. ------------------------------ Message: 2 Date: Wed, 2 Mar 2011 19:54:29 +0530 From: "Mahesh Dandu - ERS, HCL Tech" <[email protected]> Subject: [iText-questions] Out of memory with PdfStamper API To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> Message-ID: <2f8e0f3d3cb04e4da4cd0b57379c2466ce62f16...@chn-hclt-evs06.hclt.corp.hcl.in> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Hi, We are using PdfStamper to apply the overlays by using the methods like "getUnderContent" and "getOverContent". Once these operations complete, we are using stamper.close() to close the stamper. This works fine for all the documents and the overlays are applying correctly. However, for the documents which are having size more than 400MB, we are getting an error saying there is no enough space(Out of memory error) when we are calling stamper.close(). Please let us know is there any API that we can make use to overcome this problem and can apply overlays for any size of documents. Pls repl There are alternatives: you could set the font-size to 0, in which case iText does the work for you. ------------------------------ Message: 4 Date: Wed, 2 Mar 2011 17:02:56 +0530 From: "Manish Thakkar" <[email protected]> Subject: [iText-questions] WMF to PDF Conversion To: <[email protected]> Message-ID: <004501cbd8cd$96256700$c2703500$@[email protected]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Hi, We are facing an issue while converting WMF to PDF. There are controls hidden/Invisible on WMF image but after converting it to PDF, these controls gets visible on the PDF, also I noticed that fonts are changed. Is there a way to convert WMF image to PDF without having these controls printed on PDF file. Thanks! Of course, it does not handle this type of document and publishing is unreadable. Is there an API that handles itext matrix printers? Is there another solution? I have to incorporate various .pdf and .tif files which are supplied to me. The people who supply then know they aren't supposed to include any color, but they sometimes do by mistake. Is there a simple way to detect whether such a file has colors other than black and white? Thank you very much.
