Actually, I think Maney Publishing uses iText to combine pages from PDF documents created by other software. Why do I think so? Because the content is hidden very deep inside an XObject that is inside an XObject that is inside an XObject. The person who wrote the code to produce the final PDF didn't really take care to make an optimal PDF. However: this is totally unrelated to your problem. One way to solve your problem would be to ask iText Consultancy if they can make the threshold that is used to decide whether or not there's a space between two pieces of text "configurable". Currently, the threshold is 0.5 times the width of the space character. If you could set it to 0.25 or 0.30, then your problem would be solved (but other people would start having problems, so it needs to be a parameter that can be set). Note that iText Consultancy doesn't work for free, so they'll write you an offer first. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Colocation vs. Managed Hosting A question and answer guide to determining the best fit for your organization - today and in the future. http://p.sf.net/sfu/internap-sfd2d _______________________________________________ iText-questions mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/itext-questions iText(R) is a registered trademark of 1T3XT BVBA.
